I started watching wrestling in late 1985. My 1st vivid memory was watching Championship Wrestling(which later became Superstars Of Wrestling), and I saw Hulk Hogan beat Rusty Brooks only to be attacked by Randy Savage after the match was over.

I can't put a specific date on it, but I would say since the late 80's... One of my favorite early memories was the title vs. title match at Wrestlemania VI, and Hogan handing the heavyweight belt to the Ultimate Warrior after the match.

I guess since the middle of '82. I'd flick on georgia championship wrestling once in awhile so I was a casual fan. I remember seeing Austin Idol quite a bit. Seemed like every time I flicked it on, he was being interviewed. then in early '83 I became a real huge fan. It was an exciting time to be a fan. Ofcourse being in NY, that's wwf country so you had the saturday morning program, the saturday night program, the monthly broadcast on MSG network live from MSG which was awesome. Those meant more than ppv's now. In addition you also had Georgia championship wrestling on saturday night's on tbs, and the best of show on sunday night. Also mid-atlantic (crocket promotions) on the spanish channel on saturdays on channel 41, and Florida championship wrestling I got on a UHF station . Florida was my favorite one, but unfortunately it aired very late and you can't record a UHF station so I missed it a lot. But georgia was also awesome. The wwf was hot at the time, but I enjoyed the other promotions more. I know it's cliche to say those were the good ol' days, but they really were. over 50 fulltime promotions where guys made a living in, and now there's only 2. It's really sad when ya think about it.

Back in '86, I discovered channel 68 which would air music videos during the day and 6 nights a week air NWA, WCCW, UWF, & California Championship Wrestling. Those were the days.

Yeah I remember that I was watching that every day at the time. I don't remember that lasting too long though. I remember being so happy we finally got the uwf on tv, but then either it went off the air or I didn't get the station anymore, I can't remember what happened

Channel 68 eventually became Home Shopping Club and we know it today as Spanish network Telefutura.
