Welcome to another edition of the No Punches Pulled interview series. It is current NYWC fusion champion "Nobody's Betta" Michael Mistretta.
RL: Were you a wrestling fan growing up? MM: In 4th grade a kid named Kevin introduced me to wrestling and I was hooked. Don't know or care where Kevin is today.
RL: When did you decide you were going to wrestle? MM: When I started watching it I knew it was what I wanted to do. It was a tough choice but I decided to put my dream of becoming President of the United States aside for wrestling.
RL: How did you discover the NYWC academy? MM: My dad found NYWC because he didn't want to pay for WWE tickets. When I found out they had an academy it was what they call a "no brainer".
RL: What were your initial impressions of Mikey Whipwreck & Curse? MM: Why not Shane, Forge and Joe? Everyone was welcoming. Robert you need to learn some respect.
RL: How tough was training? MM: Nothing I couldn't handle. However, the average human would fail.
RL:How did the name G.I.T. come about? MM: Don't know don't care.

RL: What are your memories of being placed with Iri$h & J-Redd? MM: It was cool to be put with J-Redd and be able to learn from him. When Iri$h joined I was like guy is definitely a liability. Then he went and got hit by a car so my assumption was right.
RL: What are your memories of Alvin Alvarez? MM: Decent guy with funny looking chest.
RL: What are your memories of Ultimo Maya? MM: Being handcuffed while he beat me with a stick. He enjoyed it much more than he should have.
RL: What are your memories of Cono? MM: We were never in the company at the same time. Aren't you supposed to know this stuff?
RL: I can't be expected to know evertything. What are your memories of Cuffed & Caged match against Alvin, Maya, & King Mega? MM: Another one of those matches where I get to the back and someone tells me that I earned their respect. That's great I guess.
RL: What are your memories of Mike Verna? MM: Beat him at Hotter Than Hell last year.
RL: What are your memories of The Big O? MM: No, not really.

He is doing great right now and I am proud of him. I want to reunite one day, I hope he feels the same way. The chemistry we had was freaking insane.
RL: What are your memories of Cuffed & Caged match with Iri$h & J-Redd? MM: Barbed aire went playing into the crowd. Shame it didn't poke your eye out.
RL: What are your memories of refereeing at Tropix On The Mile? MM: If anyone who is a referee thinks their job is hard they are just being a bitch. Piece of cake.
RL: What are your memories of "Flawless" Blake Morris? MM: My first trainer along with Stockade. Very grateful.
RL: What are your memories of Milk Chocolate? MM: Had some tags with them. Would love to beat them in singles.
RL: What are your memories of David McGill Esq.? MM: He is a very patient and calm man. He is the guy I go to for all my advice because he is competent... usually.

RL: What are your memories of matches with Matt Striker? MM: It was a chance to prove myself to everyone. Going into it I was pretty much the only guy from my academy class and even the class after that who haven't gotten the opportunity to wrestle a former television star. I knew I had to kill it and I did. I won our match at Psycho Circus 17 in my sleep!
RL: What are your memories of your match with Dickie Rodz? MM: Beat him. That was a quick one.
RL: How did you end up in Mike Morgan's ACE Pro Wrestling? MM: Got in a car and drove there.
RL: What are your memories of spinning ACE diamond division title? MM: Jesús Christ Rob it was the FIGHT FOR FLIGHT championship. I see you write shit down and you still can't get it right.
RL: What are your memories of Stockade? MM: He taught me how to survive in the business. I will always be thankful for what he has done for me.
RL: What are your memories of Lance Anoa'i? MM: Nothing more than hello/goodbye.
RL: What are your memories of winning the NYWC fusion title from Bull James? MM: I remember a really crappy call by the referee. Luckily I was still able to walk away the new NYWC fusion champion, and I haven't lost it since.

RL: What are your memories of matches with Johnny Radke? MM: I beat him twice. I actually beat everyone in The 5th Dimension and exposed that panda. That's right it isn't a grizzly, it's a panda. I'm pretty sure even you realize that.
RL: What are your memories of Ryan Clancy? MM: Beat him twice.
RL: What are your memories of James Rammison? MM: He walked into the academy at the beginning of 2019 and I claimed him immediately. He will do great things some day.
RL: No doubt about it. What are your memories of The Audacity? MM: The coolest freaking guys in indy wrestling. We look so badass together, the whole group does. Some people don't get the bright colores with the dark/psychopath attitude and hockey masks. NYWC is notorious for having factions that wear all black so we want to be different. We aren't devil worshippers, we are just punks.

RL: I prefer quality over quantity. What are your thoughts on the NYWC message board? MM: Seems like a nice place for all 5 of you to chat.
RL: Those I sit with at the shows are not members of the board. What is your take in these uncertain times with Corona Virus? MM: If a pandemic is what it takes to get me away from your ugly ass, so be it.
RL: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? MM: Not in the same vicinity as you I prey.
RL: Is there anything you would like to say to the fans? MM: Uew. Hello incels and simps. You are welcome that I took the time out of my busy schedule to grace you with this interview.
