Welcome to another edition of the No Punches Pulled interview series. This month, it's former NYWC heavyweight champion Quiet Storm.
RL: Were you a wrestling fan growing up?
QS: Yes it was all I thought about since I was 8 years old.
RL: When did you decide you were going to be a pro wrestler?
QS: The first time I saw a wrestling program. It was WWF Superstars Of Wrestling. As soon as the show started, I said I want to do this for the rest of my life.
RL: What were your initial impressions of Mikey Whipwreck?
QS: I thought he was the smartest wrestler in the world. I still do!
RL: How hard was the training?
QS: At first it was very hard and very hard to pick up.
RL: How long did you train before your first match?
QS: 7 months
RL: What are your memories of Hardcore Wrestling Alliance?
QS: A great place to train and do show. Met a lot of great friends because of that place.
RL: What were your initial impresssions of Paul Lauria?
QS: He was shorter than me. (joke) He was cool.
RL: What are your memories of Red/SAT?
QS: I have so many. If I could list them all, I would have a text book.
RL: What are your memories of Chirs Devine?
QS: Very hard working and very funny. Wish he was still around.
RL: What are your memories of Wayne?
QS: He's a very cool guy all the time. He was one of the first guys Mikey taught. We always had great training.
RL: What are your memories of Joey Braggiol?
QS: A great hard working big man.
RL: What are your memories of Tara Charisma?
QS: She was a very nice girl but I don't know where she is now?
RL: How did you end up working for Jac Sabboth's Impact Championship Wrestling?
QS: Me & the guys went to his old store in Queens and showed him a tape.
RL: What are your memories of Frank Goodman?
QS: He was always very funny but he helped me out a lot when I first started.
RL: What are your memories of Brian XL?
QS: At one point I thought he was one of the toughest guys on the indies. He picked up everything quick.
RL: What are your memories of Abunai?
QS: Cool but strange mask.
RL: What are your memories of your 4 way match with Abunai, Lo Rida, & Ghost Shadow to crown the 1st ever ICW Super J title?
QS: Well that was a long time ago but I think we did some great things.
RL: What are your memories of Combat Zone Wrestling?
QS: I loved it there every time I went. It was my first big indie and I was 17 at the time.
RL: What were your initial impressions of John Zandig?
QS: He was the best I owe a lot to him.
RL: What are your memories of matches with Nick Berk?
QS: I loved those matches! Berk always landed on his head.
RL: What are your memories of Ruckus?
QS: Great high flyer and great matches he & I had back in the day.
RL: Why did you stop working for CZW?
QS: I had a lot of other bookings coming and as a wrestler starting out you want to work everywhere.
