Welcome to another edition of the No Punches Pulled interview series. In this edition it's the NYWC starlet champion The Black Rose Nikki Syx.
RL: Were you a wrestling fan growing up?
NS: I have always been a wrestling fan. It's something I shared with my father.
RL: When did you decide "I'm going to be a wrestler"?
NS: I decided aroung Christmas 2009 that I had to try it and no one would be able to convunce me otherwise.
RL: How did you discover the NYWC academy?
NS: I really had no clue where to go so I looked up places online and found NYWC and made an appointment to watch training and they had me sold instantly.
RL: What were your initial impressions of Mikey Whipwreck?
NS: My initial thoughts of Mikey was that he is a legend and of course I still feel that way, but I knew I would learn from him and that he would genuinely care and want me to do well.
RL: How tough was training?
NS: Training definitely isn't easy, it can be frustrating. Ut it is so woth it and I always have fun.
RL: What are thoughts on Pat Buck as a trainer?
NS: Pat was my trainer since I had started. I learned a lot from him and I am lucky to have learned from him.
RL: What are your memories of you in ring debut teaming with SPAZ vs. Francis Kipland Stevens & Violet?
NS: I had 2 feelings about my debut, nervous and excited, I wanted to make everyone proud and I waited so long for that moment and it was amazing.
RL: What are your memories of Britney Savage?
NS: Savage is great. She is great to work with and I'm glad we got to.
RL: What are your memories of winning the NYWC starlet title?
NS: It was surreal. It didn't feel real but when it set in I knew I was lucky and that I worked hard for it.
RL: How did you end up in Mike Morgan's ACE Pro Wrestling?
NS: I ended up in ACE because I'm Stockkade's valet.
RL: What are your memories of your match with Alicia at ACE Crossroads VII?
NS: Crossroads was amazing. Alicia really helped me a lot, in many ways, I think it was one of my best matches.
RL: What are your memories of teaming with Corey Havok vs. Mercedes Martinez & Julio Dinero at WSU/NWS King & Queen tournament?
NS: Working with Core was fun, I was so thankful I got the opportunity to work Mercedes & Julio again I have been very lucky.
