Welcome to another edition of the No Punches Pulled interview series. This time it's former NYWC tag team champion "Hot Shot" Mike Reed.
RL: Were you a wrestling fan growing up? MR: I was a huge fan of wrestling. My favorite wrestlers were Ricky Steamboat & Randy Savage.
RL: When did you decide you were going to be a wrestler? MR: I decided in high school, but due to circumstances beyond my control finally started a few years later.
RL: How di you discover The Monster Factory wrestling school? MR: I actually found them in a wrestling book "monster of the mat" which had a list of wrestling schools in it. Out of 3 I visited I chose the monster factory.
RL: What were your initial impressions of Pretty Boy Larry Sharpe? MR: He was open and honest about criticism. I appreciated it. Never sugar coated it.
RL: How tough was training? MR: Extremely tough, the ring was one foot from the ground. Was just basically wood and metal?
RL: Who else was training at the time? MR: QT Marshall & Luis The Punisher Martinez
RL: What are your memories of your first match ever? MR: My first match went well enough to have Matt Striker say to me he couldn't believe it was my first match.
RL: What are your memories of Gino Caruso's ECPW? MR: I went there to speak with Gino setup a tryout then Crowbar said to Gino book this guy for the next show and the rest is history.
