Welcome to another edition of the No Punches Pulled interview series. In this one, it is NYWC referee Dylan Perry.
RL: Were you a wrestling fan growing up? DP: Yes, my first early memory of wrestling was watching Wrestlemania 22. That was the first time I ever watched my favorite wrestler growing up The Undertaker.
RL: The Undertaker is my favorite wrestler of all time. How did you discover NYWC shows? DP: My Dad & I went to a fundraiser at the Islip Fire Department and I immediately thought that NYWC is possibly the best indie wrestling on Long Island.
RL: When did you decide you wanted to be a part of the wrestling sport? DP: I told my Dad that for Christmas I wanted to learn how to become a wrestler. So we called up NYWC and booked a couple of months of training for me.
RL: How tough was it learning the ins and outs of refereeing? DP: Learning to be ref was honestly very tough. You have to know where to be at all times and to always be aware of your surroundings.
RL: What are your memories of reffing your very first match? DP: What I remember from my first match was it was Dickie Rodz vs Iri$h and I just remembered being so nervous and Dickie said just go out there and have fun.

RL: What are your memories of James Rammison? DP: I was reffing a match with LiL Mouse versus James, here I am waiting for a lot of mocking but all I remember was him kicking Lil Mouse the second the bell rang for the 1,2,3.
RL: What are your memories of The Big O? DP: Just remembering how cool he was to the kids at the Camp Anchor fundraiser.
RL: What are your memories of King Mega? DP: Whenever he comes back to NYWC, he always would give the utmost respect to the locker room, and the amount of advice he gives to me when it comes to reffing is very helpful.
RL: What are your memories of The Audacity? DP: Oh! Where do I begin every time I ref one of Michael Mistretta's matches they always have to come out and ruin everything.

RL: How did you end up getting to ref at Extreme Annihilation Wrestling's debut show? DP: I wasn't booked to ref on that show but as we were setting up doing ring crew the owner comes up to me and asked me if I would like to ref. So I immediately said yes.
RL: What are your memories of Johnny Radke? DP: The best memory of Radke was him getting on that middle rope and doing a Stone Cold with 2 DewSA's.
RL: What are your memories of The Rep? DP: Nate and Dave are probably two of the hardest workers ever. They will always go out of their way to critique you what you were doing in the ring.
RL: What are your memories of Benson Bros? DP: Watching them compete in 40% of the card at Psycho Circus 18 just shows how much they care for the company.

RL: What are your memories of Bam Sullivan? DP: I remember as a fan to Psycho Circus and just watching all the crazy stunts Bam would be doing through out the match.
RL: What are your memories of The Mischief? DP: Being able to be in the ring for the first time as a group was surreal from the entrance to the end of the match they put on a show.
RL: What are your memories of Boo Sullivan? DP: When I wasn't involved in the company Bo and Kasin were my absolute favorite wrestlers in NYWC just 2 funny guys living life making people laugh while putting on a show.
RL: What are your memories of Kasin? DP: I'll never forget watching Kasin turn on Forge in the build to Psycho Circus 18.

RL: What are your memories of Andy Miller? DP: He would always be in the ring with me before big matches that I was really nervous to ref but once he started talking on that microphone it always calmed me down.
RL: What are your memories of Bull James? DP: Bull's show in Brooklyn New York Outlaw Wrestling was the first non-NYWC event I ever worked. Bull would always find a spot for me and allowed me to get my name out there.
RL: What are your memories of Papadon? DP: Watching Papadon work in the ring is just a huge eye opener. Watching him be able to go about 30 to 40 minutes without stopping it's just crazy. Papdon always gave me so much advice and wisdom about the wrestling business.
RL: What are your memories of Blake Morris? DP: Psycho Circus 18 was probably the best Psycho Circus I ever saw. The main event was Team Rex versus Team Morris. Even though I was a ref on the outside it was probably the best match I ever been a part of.

RL: What are your memories of Joey Conway? DP: To me Joey Conway is that fun uncle that everyone likes. Conway was always willing to come out and train just to help a person out. And can't forget to bring up when him and Randy Summers won't the tag team title probably the happiest I ever seen him.
