I thought this show was good. Rodz/Lemer vs. Saints opener was nicely done. It's nice to have Rob Eckos back in NYWC. I was hoping Rob would've had a match on the show. Dan Eckos vs. Silver was good and Dan finally got a win. Latinos vs. Circle was great and the tights Benny & Spyder wore are cool. But will the National Football League sue? Braggiol/Mav vs. Mega/Reynolds was a good match and I thought it would have gone on a little longer. The battle royal was unique and I thought we weren't going to hear "Hypnotize". The Hi-Fi title was a good match and I'm wondering who's next for Bruno. I was let down that the tag title match didn't get a winner. It seems that every team wants the tag belts. The Taipei Death match was gruesome. I wasn't expecting the participants to cover their fists in glass in the ring. I hope this feud is not over.
Here are the results:
Dickie Rodz & Jamie Van Lemer def. Celtic Saints to become #1 contenders to the tag team title
Dan Eckos def. Big John Silver
Naturally Fly Latinos def. Black Circle
King Mega & Alex Reynolds def. Joey Braggiol & Maverick
Francis Kipland Stevens won a team battle royal which also included Dirty Rednex, Vaugh Jackson, & All Money Is Legal
Hi-Fi Title Bruno Marciano def. Papadon to retain the title
Tag Team Title Big Time Rush vs. Blake Morris & Mike Reed went to a no contest when Celtic Saints & All Money Is Legal
Boogalou def. Eddie Guapo in the Taipei Death match
Personal Notes Mikey, Dickie, Joey Braggiol, Cusher, thank you for taking pictures with me after the show.
Thank you to Jim Londos for driving me to the train.
It was also nice talking with Londos & Curse.
The next time jdawg & nyindyfan can't make a show, I need to sit with a fellow board member.
That was a nice T-shirt Vaughn was wearing.
It was nice to see some promos on the NYWC-tron.
There were some pretty ladies in the crowd.
Those kids in front of me as I walked in thought the show was titled "Triple Death"
Is it me, or was Crazy Larry at the show?
That young gentleman in the wheelchair had to keep the young children leaning over the guardrail to sit down
I feel sorry for those kids that were told by Shane that they couldn't sit in the seats that were reserved for The Luis Jimenez show. I've got to find a way to get this board burning again.

Biggest surprise of the evening: seeing Papadon tap out. The man, in my opinion, is (as he had himself introduced as) the best technical wrestler in NYWC, and I figured he would have been able to come up with an escape to any submission hold.
Biggest disappointment: The end of the main event. I see all that glass dumped in the ring and figure it's going to get beyond brutal for a few minutes, but no. One bodyslam and boom it's over. And maybe it was just me, but it seemed Boogalou was more into it then Eddie Guapo. Boog went back to replenish his supply of glass multiple times, I don't recall Guapo doing that.
Personal thought: as Robert said, it appears that every team wants a shot at the tag belts. This may be a good opportunity for NYWC to set up a gauntlet or tag tournament....

The reviews are mixed about this show.
The main event was completely underwhelming. I'm not sure if that had to do with the fact that both men felt like they didn't want to be there or they cut it short so everyone could go get some air.
Shane, if you're reading this, there needs to be some sort of air conditioning fixed in the building. It was almost intolerable. It was so bad that as soon as I got outside, the blood vessels under my eyes popped from the pressure change.
Rodz & Van Leemer always put on a decent showing, and the Celtic Saints are awesome heels, especially after I got the girls siting next to me spit on by them.
My fiancee could not stop staring at Rob Eckos!!!!! I had to choke a bitch! Just kidding!
I didn't care for the NFL Vs Black Circle match.
Vaughn Jackson is my homeboy! He recognizes me at every show now and goes out of his way to say hello.
I've started the "Smile Bruno" gimmick. It will catch on. I talked to Bruno outside after the show and he was fond of it.
The Mega/Reynolds Vs Maverick/Braggiol match was easily the match of the night.
Was it me or did all the NYWC look miserable tonight? The heat was stifling, and that probably made everyone uncomfortable, even the referees.
My fiancee tends to attract the NYWC wrestlers. This might be the time for us to sign up for the school, especially with the Rednecks having a female valet, and after what occured between Moore & me at last month's show (he hit on my girl! All in good fun!). I'd have a natural gimmick! The audience member who can't stand all the heels hitting on his woman!
So who do I talk to about signing up for training?

It sure was hot in there scooterdust. I couldn't believe that people were chanting Pee Wee Herman at Dan Eckos. As far as your fiance looking at Rob Eckos, she's not the 1st lady to do that at NYWC. I remember when he wrestled Jerry Lynn and this one chick screamed "Oh My God" when Rob's package was almost exposed. Also to jones, Boogalou suplexed Guapo on the broken glass to ge the win.

I thought the show was decent, the Taipei Death match could've been better though. I hope they do something just as exciting as the ladder match from Straps and Ladders for the tag belts soon, that match was awesome. Hopefully next time it isnt 107 degrees in there...

Welcome to the board bpro10592. I don't think we'll have a ladder match anytime soon. Please introduce yourself next time you're at a show.

well, I dont really know the people that go there. I have been going there since Straps and Ladders, and because that was my first time, I've coming back hoping for stuff just as good. Next time I go, which should be Aug 29, it'll be with a friend who hasn't seen NYWC. Hopefully next time I can get front row, the side I usually sit on was reserved which was kinda dissappointing.
On another note, I can't wait to see Dickie and Jamie next month, they're really fun to watch. I would love to see AMIL, Saints, Rodz and Jamie and Big Time Rush in some sort of special match. That battle royal was entertaining, but not for the wrestling in my opinion.

The battle royal was entertaining for the fact that Vaughn, Francis & AMIL got the Rednex to dance. Also, congrats to jones44 on 300 posts.

Thanks for correcting my use of "bodyslam" to "Suplex". It was unbearable hot in there and some of the details in my mind just got sweated out LOL. But a disappointing finish none the less.

I think everyone who posts often knows ive been a huge supporter of the Guapo , Boogalou feud but I had mixed emotions as far as the match. I was dissapointed in one aspect then again I didnt know what to expect. I however did enjoy the reality if the match as if they went out and ran themselves all over in glass id have to question the outcome. Guapo isnt superman so I was fine with the finish, he just looked somewhat out of it for whatever reason. I was one of the only people who have stuck by him watching him so I hope he bounces back after this and comes back stronger as he has become one of my favorites to watch. I think it might be time to end this and give both guys fresh starts with Boogalou maybe taking on Bruno and Guapo trying to find his niche. As dissapointed as I was and i think alot of people were, this has to remain one of the best feuds overall NYWC has ever put together in terms of violence so ill grade the overall feud as successful and hope that was it. Lotti Happy Birthday on the board glad its going strong i love reading everyones opinions on the show

This was a great show except for it bein 100+ degrees..lol.. Jones44 boog won with a pumphandle slam on the glass.. And it did appear that boog was in it more than guap..Lotti and bpro it did suck that the seats were reserved for The Luis Jimenez Show they had like 12 seats reserved and 3 or 4 people there ( we sat behind them all 12 of us ) but during the break they left and I ask up in front if we could take the seats , Was Told " Go Ahead " ..Thanx go out to you guys at the front entrance .. Also Lotti we were the ones chanting Pee Wee Herman at Dan Eckos.. Scooterdust I know what you meen .. Go for it .. And 4now i agree this was a good fued and I think its over
