[from amny's heather haddon] A new study found that children who eat too much candy are more likely to be arrested as adults. Researchers said that the candylink goes back to how parents used it to bribe their' kids rather than sugar fueling rage. Children who are rewarded with sweets don't learn to delay gratification, making them more prone to impulsive behavior, according to simon moore of wales' cardiff university.(1 of the study's authors) Of more than 17,000 people observed over 4 decades,69% arrested for violent offense by 34 reported eating candy by 10. The candy/violence connection was documented across families of different economic classes & parenting styles.
