I must say it was very classy of NYWC to have a 10 bell salute to the recently departed Capt. Lou Albano. The hi-fi title match was pretty good and it's good to see Dan Eckos with some gold. Rodz/Lemer vs. HS was pretty good and Lemer got a haircut. Az vs. Josh was pretty good and scooterdust got Josh's attention in that match. Black Circle managed to win for the 1st time in about a year, only for the team to come to an end. I wonder what Crusher Doogan will do about this. Reynolds cheated his way to a win over Big John. It was a surpise to have Colt Cabana on the show and challenge Reynolds & Maxwell to a match. It seemed that Reynolds didn't want to be there. The 3 way tag was a good match and Dirtys took advantage of someone else's hard work. Papadon/Storm had another hard hitting match and Josh made a statement to Storm. BTR/Saints was good but it looked to me it was rushed(no pun intended). It looked like nothing was going to stop Braggiol from getting his shoulder's pinned to the mat as he kept kicking out of all the outside interference. The big moment was the return of Maverick as he hit the ring and bodyslammed King Mega.
Here are the results for those who couldn't be there:
Dan Eckos def. Bruno Marciano to win the hi-fi title
Dickie Rodz & Jamie Van Leamer def. High Society
Black Circle def. Eddie Guapo & Francis Kipland Stevens
"Yours Truly" Alex Reynolds def. Big John Silver to retain the interstate title
Big John Silver & Colt Cabana def. "Yours Truly" Alex Reynolds & Maxwell Belvedere
Dirtys def. All Money Is Legal & Naturally Fly Latinos
"The Greek God" Papadon def. Quiet Storm in 2 straight falls in a best of 3 falls match
Celtic Saints def. Big Time Rush to retain the tag team title
Joey Braggiol def. King Mega by DQ King Mega is still heavyweight champion
Personal Notes
It was nice seeing scooterdust, Jim Londos, jones44, smokey, & metsfan.
Does anyone know if something serious happened to Ryan Rush?
I wonder if Stockade is going to have a new look now that Black Circle is no more.
I'm wondering why intermission is so brief.
Does anyone have any pointers on when would be a good time to pass flyers for this board? I know that there's link to this board on NYWC's website, but I wish people would be more active.
Some of the fans got on scooterdust's nerves.
Did anyone notice my Shawn Michaels hat?
That new NYWC T-shirt is awesome. I hope they make them in different colors in the future.
I'm wondering if there will be more surprises like Colt Cabana again.
